2017 moment skis12/5/2023 ![]() Flatter tail with a slightly more directional mount point - perfecto! For me anyway. A hypothetical Countach Tour would make a whole lotta sense! WCT 108 was great, but I did not like the upturned tail for touring for an everyday mid-winter ski. I almost bought a pair of Wildcat Tours that I would've mounted with Castified Pivots last season to try such a setup 50/50 skis for resort use is all the rage nowadays, so perhaps the "Tour" part of the name is selling them a bit short - their use could be a bit broader than "just" touring. ![]() So it was def meant as "hm, could this alternative segment for these skis?", not disrespecting Bents or any such lighter weight skis. The regular Wildcats (if not w108s) would potentially be too much ski for a lot of the Bent crowd though. After all, the tour versions are "just" lighter and slightly softer versions of the regular layup skis. Bent 100/110/120s sell like hot cakes over here, no doubt partly because of the graphics and probably also since they are fun, easy to ski skis that a light, poppy and nimble - and fairly inexpensive.Īs such, I would assume that a lot of the same skiers (aka skiers that want something light, poppy, fun and capable relative to the weight) would enjoy the tour versions of the Wildcat/Wildcat108s. I am kinda surprised that so many skiers want to ski something as light as the various Bents in the resort (let alone on the Freeride World Tour). No, not at all - taking the piss that is. I can't tell if you're taking the piss out of those who ski Bentchetlers or I'm really out of the loop!?
